Description

This module offers the opportunity for final year students on the Business Management programme to formulate and undertake an independent, structured investigation using desk-based research methods on an authentic management problem. The work, which will be undertaken individually, will involve:1.Working with a business contact or an academic tutor to identify a management problem;2.Using a structured literature review and subsequent report, to produce an executive summary and to derive and propose recommendations;3.Presenting recommendations to the business client, who will also be supplied with the executive summary.As such the module provides a research experiences in the form of a piece of business consultancy, enhancing students¿ research and presentation skills supported by an academic mentor and a support group of peers working on related projects.
